Lynne Griffiths, classically trained on Flute and Harp and Indian master drummer Umesh Pratap join Roman Astra (Sitar, Indian violin, vocals) to form a trio that takes you onto a musical journey to Neverland and back. Sparkling sounds shimmer above mesmerizing overtones and melodies. The warm sounds of the harps nylon strings merge effortlessly with the bright colors of the Sitar, while flute and Indian violin weave an intriguing fabric. Add to that the mysterious sounds of Tabla and you get some music that, many people have commented, inspires visual and sensual imagery.

The charm of their music arises from the interweaving of both Western and Eastern scales and is inspired by Umesh's Fijian/Indian background. This trio enjoys mixing and matching styles and there is always time for some tongue in cheek humor.

Last gig at MONA for 'TEAHOUSE' for this year and the last tune. Traditionally we create the encore on the spot and ask the audience to name it. This time they just called out the date. So we called it "Outro for 2018'. If link doesn't work use:

Supporting 'Les Poules a Colin' and hanging out with them was a special treat at the beginning of 2019. It will be one of the highlights of this year. They are phantastic and we did our best to match them. They complemented us, so we did awrite ;-) Our improvised 'encores' are named by the audience. This one became 'Free Flight over Lindisfarne'.
