For a lively, jazzy outfit Roman Astra (Sitar, Indian violin, vocals) has teamed up with Sandesh Parivar (Nepalese style guitar), Thomas Oxley (5-string and double bass) and Santhanam Gopala (Indian percussion). Thomas is classically trained and is a renown bass player and sought after session musician. Santhanam is a Southern Indian master drummer and his skills and knowledge of rhythm is highly appreciated by Thomas, who is always looking for new ideas. Together they create a rhythm section that is on par with some of the best in the country. On this solid foundation Sandesh and Roman are able to build the sweet melodies and harmonies they are renown for. This ensemble is well suited for themed corporate functions as well as festivals. They surely gets their audiences feet moving!
